Free tools

Small tools we built because our guides kept telling people to go and check something by hand. No sign-up, no email capture, no gated result. They run on our own hosting and cost us essentially nothing, which is why they are free and will stay that way.

AI crawler access check

Check whether AI crawlers can read your site. Enter a domain and it reads the robots.txt, works out whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and the rest are allowed or blocked, and tells you plainly which. It also checks for an llms.txt file.

We built it because this problem is far more common than it should be. Security plugins and CDN rules block AI crawlers by default or by accident, and the business only discovers it after months of wondering why assistants never mention them. It takes one click to rule out, and ruling it out is the first thing worth doing before any AI visibility work.

Why these are free

A tool that reads a public file and applies published rules costs nothing to run, so charging for it, or trading it for an email address, would be a way of pretending it is more than it is. Tools that would cost real money to operate, like running live queries against paid AI APIs on demand, we have deliberately not built, because we would then have to charge for them or cripple them.

If you want the thinking behind them, the GEO guide and the guide to getting cited by LLMs are equally free and rather more use than any tool.

More coming

We add one when a guide keeps describing a manual check that a machine could do faster. If there is something you keep checking by hand, tell us and it may become the next one.
